Empowering parents as a support group for children with special needs in Bima, Indonesia

Abstract
Objective: To find how to empower parents as a support group to optimize the creativity of children with special needs in Bima, Indonesia.
Methodology: This is Quasi-Experimental Design with pre-posttest without control group. Data were analized using wilcoxon to test the comparative hypothesis of two samples that were correlated. The limit of significance of p value 0.05 with a sample of 61 respondents.
Results: Statistical test wilcoxon test with a Z value of 6.164 flower arranging and a Z value of making photo frames 6.856 with a p-value of 0.000 flower arrangement behavior and a p-value of 0.000 making photo frames.
Conclusion: There is an effect of empowering the role of parents as a support group on optimizing the creativity of children with special needs in Bima Indonesia.
