Abstract
Objective: To take feedback from the students about effectiveness of different teaching modalities used during histology practical.
Methodology: The study utilized a self-administered questionnaire, which included thirteen closed-ended questions provided to first and second-year MBBS students. Data were analyzed by using SPSS 26.
Results: Most students found Penta head to be the best method for histology slide study in a practical session. Majority of them were in favor of summarizing the lecture content at the start of practical session. They liked to have a brief power point presentation of the content of practical. Students preferred to draw histological picture on their notebook from an already drawn and labeled diagram. They were satisfied with the present duration of practical time and most of them wanted to have a revision class and MOCK test at the end of a module before the examination.
Conclusion: Feedback from 1st year and 2nd year MBB students regarding histology practical sessions provides a guideline to modify existing teaching and learning methodologies.

Key words: Pharmacology, learning, quiz, student motivation, student perception.
