Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of technology-enhanced learning (TEL) and patient-centered learning strategies to improve educational outcomes in dental programs.
Methodology: A mixed-methods design was employed, involving 100 dental students and 20 faculty members across multiple universities. Quantitative data were collected through pre- and post-intervention assessments to measure improvements in clinical skills, communication, and empathy. Qualitative data were gathered through focus groups to explore student and faculty perceptions of the integrated curriculum.
Results: There was significant improvements in clinical skills, communication, and empathy, with pre- and post-intervention scores showing marked enhancements (p<0.001). Focus group discussions revealed positive feedback from students, highlighting increased engagement and a stronger understanding of patient needs. Faculty members noted the potential benefits of TEL but also reported challenges in integrating technology effectively into the curriculum.
Conclusion: The combination of TEL and patient-centered learning strategies significantly enhances dental education by improving key competencies among students. These findings support the need for curriculum reform that aligns with contemporary healthcare demands and educational best practices.

Key words: Dental education, practice, learning.
