Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of telemedicine-supported nursing care on patient health outcomes, nurse productivity, and satisfaction levels in rural healthcare Settings.
Methodology: An intervention group is exposed to telemedicine, and a control group is exposed to care standards. Pre-test and Post-test questionnaires were used.
Results: There were notable improvements in clinical outcomes among the intervention group, including reductions in systolic blood pressure and HbA1c levels. Nurse performance improved through more efficient documentation and enhanced job satisfaction, while patients expressed greater satisfaction with the convenience and accessibility of services. However, challenges such as poor technological infrastructure and limited digital literacy among patients were identified as barriers.
Conclusions: Telemedicine can significantly enhance rural healthcare delivery by improving accessibility, patient outcomes, and nurse efficiency. Successful implementation requires adequate funding, improved infrastructure, and proper training for healthcare providers.
