Case Report 


Accidental pediatric gunshot eye injury: A preventable tragedy

Abstract
Although gunshot-related ocular injuries in children are uncommon, they often result in irreversible visual loss or complete globe destruction. We report a pediatric case involving accidental firearm discharge leading to severe open-globe injury requiring enucleation despite prompt surgical repair. The case underscores the catastrophic consequences of pediatric gunshot trauma and emphasizes the urgent need for firearm safety education and preventive strategies in the community.
