Abstract
Objective: To determine the effects of Rood’s sensory motor training along with Constraint Induced Movement therapy (CIMT) in sub-acute stroke.
Methodology: This randomized control trial included 29 patients. Experimental group was treated with CIMT training, Rood’s sensory motor training along with conventional treatment and control group has received Proprioceptive Neuromuscular facilitation and stretching’s treatment protocol. Wolf motor function test (WMFT) and Fugyl-Meyer assessment scale (FMA) were used for assessment.
Results: Out of 29 patients, 20 were males and 9 females with mean age of 59.40±8.475 years of experimental and 60.14±9.214 of control group. After the 6 weeks of interventions, significant improvement was recorded in WMFT (p=0.001) and FMA scale (p=0.001).
Conclusion: Among stroke patients who received Roods Sensory Motor Training along with CIMT training of affected limbs resulted in more significant speedy recovery in motor activity and functions.

Key words: Constraint induce movement therapy, Motor activity, Sensory motor training, Stroke, Wolf motor function test.
